| The founding members of the Jason Hayes Foundation bring different strengths to the Foundation. Some have business and finance backgrounds, some have counseling experience, and some have both. Most importantly, they all had an intimate knowledge of the issues and obstacles that Jason struggled with.
ALANNA SPADA
As Jason's cousin, Alanna saw first hand Jason’s many challenges. Along with her volunteer work for the Jason Hayes Foundation, Alanna is a Planning and Administration Manager for BNY Mellon Wealth Management. She is also board member of The Jen DiReeno Foundation and a volunteer in the Everybody Wins! Power Lunch program, where she travels each week
to an East Boston elementary school for one-on-one reading with a young girl. She is a graduate of Salem State College. With her background in finance and long-term interest in issues regarding youth, Alanna brings her dynamite energy and many important skills to the team.
TARA FINNEGAN
As Jason's older sister, Tara grew up with an intimate knowledge of issues Jason struggled with. It is not an accident that as an adult, Tara's career and volunteer focus is on disadvantaged young people. Tara's long-term experience in working in the non-profit sector gives her the experience and background that will make her a valuable and active member of the team.
Tara currently serves the Director of Resource Development at Generations Incorporated. Prior to becoming a staff member, Tara did a year of service with the organization as an AmeriCorps*VISTA member. Tara also serves as the President of the The Jen Di Reeno Foundation. Tara received her Master of Arts in Urban Economics from Northeastern University and her Bachelor of Arts in Financial Economics from Saint Anselm College.
DOT HAYES
Jason’s mom, Dot, is the Managing Director of the Jason Hayes Foundation. Dot has experience as a counselor as a group coordinator for Adoptive Families Together where she helped support and coordinate group programs for parents of troubled adoptive children. As a counseling intern for HAWC (Help for Abused Women and Children) she counseled family members who were victims of violence. She is also an active supporter for a local women and children's shelter.
Dot is the Vice President and Director of Human Resources of a Century 21 Advance Realty. Dot received her M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College.
MICHAEL HAYES
Jason’s dad, Mike, is a successful business owner , entrepreneur and philanthropist bringing years of practical business experience to the Jason Hayes Foundation. Mike is the founder and President of Century 21 Advance Realty. Mike has dedicated himself helping those less fortunate. He has worked on behalf of many non-profit organizations which include food pantries, children's charities, shelters, and many others. He is a past president of the Medford Kiwanis Club and was voted Citizen of the Year in Medford in 2005 for his altruistic endeavors.
